On Thursday, I decided to head west along the waterfront out to the University of British Columbia campus. The university is actually situated outside city limits, and is in the middle of some beautiful park space. It was a great ride out, and the campus was fantastic. Besides being a short walk away from the beach, the buildings were gorgeous and there was lots of green space. The campus is also on a cliff, so it offered some pretty great views of the ocean in some places.
The forecast had been calling for rain that day, and eventually it did. I had to hunker down and hurry home, but I was very well-prepared thanks to a recent investment in a rear fender! Thursday’s ride was a little shorter, but still a solid 32km.
