I’m excited to announce that after months of planning, my month-long graduation trip has finally begun! Over the next 4 weeks, I’ll be travelling down the American west coast with my bicycle, visiting Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and hopefully many more cities in between. My hope is to immerse myself in the “west coast” lifestyle, discover its beautiful scenery, and hopefully rack up some good bike mileage in the process.
My original trip plan (which I now acknowledge as a little crazy) had been to complete this journey with only my bicycle. However, I eventually realized that a more rational way to do this trip was to travel via bus/train between cities and ride my bike within cities – this way I get the best of both worlds, without having to deal with camping and extremely long daily rides.
So here it begins! My first stop is Vancouver, BC. I’ve never experienced the Canadian Rockies before, so these first few days are bound to be action-packed. Watch for daily posts about all my bike adventures!
